I’m not sure why the restaurant menu put this curry under the “Side Orders” category. but it was great.
Sanamluang Cafe

Chicken Ramen in a Shoyu-Style Broth with Mushrooms, Chili Garlic Oil & Crispy Onions
i finished eating it, thinking “it’s good.. it’s good.. not sure it’s worth paying $8 extra on top of the $10 for each portion”
and then I saw the spinach that I forgot to cook sitting on the dish rack
Leftovers. This farro-enoki mushroom bowl with leftover meats from past eat-outs was so good.. so many spices and flavors and it was warm, and crunchy thanks to the mini peppers.
The Udon package was sad. I cooked the broth, then thought “if I put the udon noodles in the pot, and then pour on the bowl, it can spill. So I’m gonna put the noodles in the bowl, and pour broth over it.. yay lazy.” But the broth apparently was not hot enough to separate out the noodles or to make it hot-warm enough.. it was just warm. Enough to eat, but a bit more warm would have been nicer.
I was working here in the mall for about an hour, going up and down the escalator while making to do lists on my phone and chatting with colleagues on slack. I came to the third floor a dozen times but never bothered to look up from the third floor. This mall has a nice roof glass design, which is accentuated at sunset.
oh wow we can no longer use our hands to pick the pastries
Spicy Pork & Sesame Noodles with Bok Choy
I really kinda bombed this dish being so distracted thinking about work today.
First I chopped off the top of the peppers, then realized we need the top to keep the belly open cut together.
I then filled the pot to 3/4 capacity and thought “we don’t drain this after cooking the couscous? that looks like a lot of water.. the couscous can really absorb it?” and then realized that the recipe said to put 3/4 cup of water. The couscous came out super porridgy. Tried to make up for it by over cooking the leftover couscous in the oven, trying to make it crispy.
Couscous-Stuffed Poblano Peppers with Spinach, Raisins & Tahini Dressing
So I’m out to get boba
I decided to walk to a boba place that’s a bit further out
Passed by Immanuel church
It’s concert night
Image
I overheard a couple behind me as i cross the street
“so it is an actual church. I don’t think we’ll be allowed to being in our booze”
“so what? Jesus converted water to wine”
great
I did it
I came to this middle eastern chicken sandwich place in this pretentious neighborhood
and ordered to eat here
saw the tip in the credit card terminal defaulting to 15%
and chose $0
Dill moment
it just had very much fast food vibes to it
due to the weird glass kiosk
so I thought I was just stopping this sandwich place, (“starbucks”) from charging me tip
but maybe what happened is that I ended up tipping $0 in a restaurant
(whisper) sorry guys
