my heatwave combat strat is

• air the house in the morning, do any oven cooking then
• as soon as outside temp starts going over 75, seal the house and run AC aggressively
• then depending on how long the heat lasts into the night, start turning AC down to mild until it’s fresh enough to open all windows again the entire night til next morning

it’s supposed to save the daily total effort expended in keeping the housing cold, (saving electricity) as opposed to only turning on AC in the afternoon, as it’s easier to maintain a regular temp place cold than to turn a hot place into cold.. at least that’s what i once read online

it’s 9am now and apt is so cold that I pulled out the only piece of clothing with long sleeves that i can wear over polo shirt

went out to greet the rain but it had already stopped in the afternoon -0-;
